Stephanie Calvet has worked in the architecture industry for over 20 years. Trained as an architect in the United States, she spent more than a decade with architecture and planning firms in Boston, designing projects in the hospitality, higher education, residential, senior living and healthcare sectors. She also taught in the Department of Architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Now based in Toronto, Stephanie’s work spans architectural and design consulting, photography, illustration. Her output spans developing proposals, reports and marketing materials for architecture firms; writing about architecture, design and urbanism for publications including Wallpaper*, AZURE and Canadian Architect; and speaking on architecture and urban issues with CBC/Radio-Canada.
Stephanie’s photography and illustration are shaped by a longstanding interest in architecture, street life and the built environment, and in the ways people inhabit and experience cities. Her photographs have appeared in magazines and in group and solo exhibitions in Toronto and New England, including a permanent installation at MIT’s University Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Stephanie is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and speaks conversational Latvian.
